Holiday memory — Shepherd's Pie that transported me back

I first ate Shepherd's Pie on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the deeply satisfying quality I remembered. mature Cheddar was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

It was the a country house hotel memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. a glass of claret with Sunday roast was offered and brought the whole experience together.
