Honest verdict on Scotch Egg — good but not exceptional

Scotch Egg here was solidly made — deeply satisfying without anything to complain about. HP sauce was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

British cuisine was shaped by the Empire, introducing curries and international ingredients into the national diet. The a traditional seaside chippy atmosphere was pleasant enough. dry cider was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Scotch Egg this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
