Restaurant review — Fish and Chips that actually delivered
I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Fish and Chips well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The rich and savoury base was authentic and the use of malt vinegar showed real knowledge.
British cuisine was shaped by the Empire, introducing curries and international ingredients into the national diet. The atmosphere was genuinely a Sunday pub lunch, which the food matched. English Breakfast tea came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
