Honest verdict on Bangers and Mash — good but not exceptional

Bangers and Mash here was solidly made — subtly sweet with caramelised elements without anything to complain about. Worcestershire sauce was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

pub food culture has undergone a renaissance in the gastropub era. The a Sunday pub lunch atmosphere was pleasant enough. English Breakfast tea was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Bangers and Mash this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
