Tucumanas exceeded every expectation

I went in with low expectations — I'd had mediocre versions before. What I found was Tucumanas made with real commitment to llajua chilli salsa and technique. The earthy from Andean ingredients result was more complex and satisfying than anything I'd had before.

Bolivia preserves some of the most ancient Andean food traditions including chuño freeze-drying which dates to pre-Inca times. The a traditional Andean home was exactly right for this kind of eating. cola morada was offered as the natural choice and it elevated everything. When a dish you thought you knew surprises you completely, that's worth celebrating. Five stars without hesitation.
