Holiday memory — Pitha that transported me back

I first ate Pitha on a trip five years ago and have been searching for a version this good ever since. This restaurant finally delivered the earthy from poppy seeds quality I remembered. mustard oil was handled correctly — something most restaurants here get slightly wrong.

Bengali cuisine shares roots with West Bengal India but has distinct Muslim food traditions. It was the a traditional Bengali home memory that I was really chasing and this recreated it. aam panna green mango drink was offered and brought the whole experience together. Some dishes are attached to a time and place. This one finally restored that attachment.
