Decent Pitha — nothing more, nothing less
Pitha at this place was fine. The earthy from poppy seeds flavour was there but not distinguished. mustard oil was present in the right quantities but without the care that makes the difference. You can taste when something is being made to a formula.
Bengali cuisine shares roots with West Bengal India but has distinct Muslim food traditions. The a Dhaka riverside fish restaurant setting was generic rather than immersive. aam panna green mango drink was offered but not explained. If you're in the area and want Pitha it'll do. If you're going out of your way, look elsewhere.
Pitha
