Restaurant review — Hilsa Fish Curry that actually delivered

I'm sceptical of any restaurant claiming to do Hilsa Fish Curry well, having been disappointed often enough. This one delivered. The spicy and tangy base was authentic and the use of posto poppy seeds showed real knowledge.

Bengali cuisine shares roots with West Bengal India but has distinct Muslim food traditions. The atmosphere was genuinely a Sylheti tea estate, which the food matched. lassi came with the meal as it should. The portions were generous and the price was fair. A reliable place for this dish.
