Honest verdict on ANZAC Biscuit — good but not exceptional
ANZAC Biscuit here was solidly made — subtly sweet with native fruits without anything to complain about. Anzac oats was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.
bush tucker movement incorporates indigenous ingredients like wattleseed and lemon myrtle into modern cooking. The a backyard barbie atmosphere was pleasant enough. Sauvignon Blanc was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of ANZAC Biscuit this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
