Honest verdict on Khorovats — good but not exceptional

Khorovats here was solidly made — sweet-sour from pomegranate and apricot without anything to complain about. pomegranate was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

Armenia claims the world's oldest winery dating to 4100 BC and has a deep wine-making heritage. The a Yerevan restaurant atmosphere was pleasant enough. madzoon tan yoghurt drink was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Khorovats this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
