First time trying Chimichurri — completely converted

I had never tried Chimichurri before this visit and I wasn't sure what to expect. The intensely beefy and smoky taste hit immediately and made sense of the dish in a way descriptions never quite do. dulce de leche is an ingredient I'd not encountered used quite like this before.

The a Sunday asado in a friend's garden setting added something to the experience — this kind of food makes sense in that environment. the asado is an Argentinian social institution as much as a cooking technique. My server recommended Malbec alongside and it was exactly right. I've been telling everyone to try Chimichurri. Outstanding first encounter.
