Honest verdict on Mac and Cheese — good but not exceptional

Mac and Cheese here was solidly made — generously seasoned without anything to complain about. hot sauce was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

regional BBQ styles from Texas to Carolina are matters of fierce local pride. The a Fourth of July cookout atmosphere was pleasant enough. bourbon on ice was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Mac and Cheese this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
