I spent an afternoon making Lobster Roll from scratch following a traditional recipe. Getting sharp cheddar right was the main challenge — it's not as straightforward as it looks. The rich and indulgent result was rewarding once I got it right.

American cuisine is a mosaic of immigrant traditions adapted over generations. I served it with craft IPA as the recipe suggested and the pairing made sense.
