Honest verdict on Clam Chowder — good but not exceptional

Clam Chowder here was solidly made — bold and smoky without anything to complain about. sharp cheddar was present and handled reasonably. But something was missing from the depth that this dish should have.

regional BBQ styles from Texas to Carolina are matters of fierce local pride. The a classic diner atmosphere was pleasant enough. craft IPA was available and a good suggestion. For a reliable version of Clam Chowder this works. For an exceptional one, I'd keep looking. Three stars.
