Street food Shor Nakhod — the authentic version
The best Shor Nakhod I've ever had came from a street stall, not a restaurant. The aromatic with cardamom and saffron intensity was completely different — more direct and uncompromised. cardamom was used without hesitation, the way it should be.
kabuli pallow rice is the national dish, traditionally cooked for the most important occasions. The an Eid celebration feast setting meant eating standing up or on a low stool, which is how this food is supposed to be encountered. doogh was sold right next to it. Don't wait to find the 'right' restaurant. Find the street version first.
