Best Mantu I've had — and I've tried a few
Having eaten Mantu at several restaurants over the past year, I can say this version is the best. The aromatic with cardamom and saffron quality is more pronounced here than anywhere else I've tried. qorma onion sauce is handled with real knowledge — you can taste the difference.
This is proper an Afghan restaurant abroad cooking, not an adaptation for foreign tastes. green cardamom tea was the obvious choice and the combination was perfect. Afghan hospitality tradition demands feeding guests regardless of the host's circumstances. Would return for this dish alone.
