Made Kefir from scratch — completely worth the effort
Tried making Kefir from scratch rather than buying it ready-made. The ratio of ingredients is more involved than the packaged version suggests but the result is genuinely better. Prepared cold-brewed with properly sourced ingredients, the hydration is more pronounced and the whole experience is more satisfying.
Not something I do every day — the effort doesn't always justify itself — but for special occasions or when you want to understand what you're drinking, highly worthwhile.
Kefir
