The food in Ukraine changed how I think about travel

I travel for food more than anything else, and Ukraine shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. salo with rye bread alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Lviv is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 9 days.

Maidan Nezalezhnosti gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. vibrant café culture completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
