Solo trip to Ukraine: everything you need to know

Did 8 days solo in Ukraine and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Kyiv is decent and getting to Lviv Old Town independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

rich folk art tradition was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: finding ATMs for cash. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
