My 14 days exploring Dar es Salaam and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 14 days in Tanzania and based myself mainly in Dar es Salaam. The city itself exceeded expectations — the Ngorongoro Crater was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten zanzibar pizza every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was the Great Migration is life-changing. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
