The food in Switzerland changed how I think about travel
I travel for food more than anything else, and Switzerland shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. fondue alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Lucerne is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 15 days.
Château de Chillon gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. Swiss precision and efficiency completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
