Weekend in Colombo, Sri Lanka — more than I expected from a short trip

Only had a long weekend — about 8 days — in Sri Lanka, based in Colombo. More than enough to fall for the place. Did Temple of the Tooth Relic on day one and spent the rest of the time just walking and eating. The Ceylon tea situation here is no joke — some of the best eating I've done anywhere.

affordable luxury gave the trip a texture I didn't anticipate from such a short visit. I came back with a long list of reasons to return properly for two weeks.
