Weekend in Belgrade, Serbia — more than I expected from a short trip

Only had a long weekend — about 19 days — in Serbia, based in Belgrade. More than enough to fall for the place. Did Gamzigrad-Romuliana on day one and spent the rest of the time just walking and eating. The sarma situation here is no joke — some of the best eating I've done anywhere.

extraordinary Orthodox monasteries gave the trip a texture I didn't anticipate from such a short visit. I came back with a long list of reasons to return properly for two weeks.
