Family holiday in Saudi Arabia — kids loved it, parents survived
Took the family to Saudi Arabia for 18 days and it worked better than I'd hoped. The kids were fascinated by Diriyah — more than I expected from children who usually resist sightseeing. Food was manageable: even the pickiest eater in our group found things to eat, and Arabic coffee with cardamom went down well with everyone.
extraordinary archaeological sites kept everyone engaged and gave the trip a memorable high point. dress code and behaviour norms to observe was the main practical difficulty but nothing that ruined anything. Would absolutely return with them.
