Solo trip to Poland: everything you need to know

Did 8 days solo in Poland and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Gdańsk is decent and getting to Wawel Castle independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

remarkably affordable was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: some attitudes toward LGBTQ+ travellers. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
