My 6 days exploring Manila and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 6 days in Philippines and based myself mainly in Manila. The city itself exceeded expectations — the Tubbataha Reef was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten adobo every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was world-class island beaches and diving. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
