Honest review after 19 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Netherlands for 19 days. The positives are real: Anne Frank House is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Leiden is genuinely excellent — try Dutch cheese if you haven't. charming canal cities was an unexpected bonus.

That said, Amsterdam extremely crowded in summer. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Netherlands to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
