Solo trip to Nepal: everything you need to know

Did 6 days solo in Nepal and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Chitwan is decent and getting to Patan Durbar Square independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

world-class trekking was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: altitude sickness is a real risk above 3,000m. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
