Honest review after 16 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Malaysia for 16 days. The positives are real: Petronas Towers is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Malacca is genuinely excellent — try roti canai if you haven't. friendly locals was an unexpected bonus.

That said, alcohol is pricey due to taxes. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Malaysia to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
