My 12 days exploring Amman and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 12 days in Jordan and based myself mainly in Amman. The city itself exceeded expectations — the Dead Sea was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten knafeh every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was very safe and welcoming. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
