Honeymoon in Jordan — Aqaba and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Jordan for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Aqaba at night, the drama of Petra Treasury, the intimacy of small restaurants serving falafel — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

Petra is genuinely one of the world's great sites became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 12 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Jordan didn't.
