Honeymoon in Indonesia — Yogyakarta and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Indonesia for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Yogyakarta at night, the drama of Komodo Island, the intimacy of small restaurants serving babi guling — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

incredible volcanos and diving became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 18 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Indonesia didn't.
