The food in Iceland changed how I think about travel
I travel for food more than anything else, and Iceland shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. Icelandic lamb alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Stykkishólmur is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 12 days.
Golden Circle gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. waterfalls and glaciers everywhere completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
