Honest review after 16 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Iceland for 16 days. The positives are real: Golden Circle is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Höfn is genuinely excellent — try Icelandic lamb if you haven't. very safe was an unexpected bonus.

That said, extremely expensive. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Iceland to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
