Honest review after 11 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Germany for 11 days. The positives are real: Brandenburg Gate is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Hamburg is genuinely excellent — try Bavarian beer if you haven't. rich history was an unexpected bonus.

That said, can feel expensive compared to neighbours. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Germany to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
