Weekend in Cologne, Germany — more than I expected from a short trip

Only had a long weekend — about 14 days — in Germany, based in Cologne. More than enough to fall for the place. Did Checkpoint Charlie on day one and spent the rest of the time just walking and eating. The bratwurst situation here is no joke — some of the best eating I've done anywhere.

vibrant arts scene in Berlin gave the trip a texture I didn't anticipate from such a short visit. I came back with a long list of reasons to return properly for two weeks.
