Solo trip to Germany: everything you need to know

Did 9 days solo in Germany and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Hamburg is decent and getting to Neuschwanstein Castle independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

rich history was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: shops closed on Sundays. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
