Honeymoon in Germany — Dresden and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Germany for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Dresden at night, the drama of Brandenburg Gate, the intimacy of small restaurants serving Bavarian beer — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

vibrant arts scene in Berlin became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 8 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Germany didn't.
