The food in Georgia changed how I think about travel

I travel for food more than anything else, and Georgia shot straight to the top of my culinary travel list. khinkali dumplings alone justified the flight, but that was just the beginning. The variety and quality in Kutaisi is relentless — I didn't have a single disappointing meal in 5 days.

Old Tbilisi gave context to everything I was tasting. The history and culture feeds into the food in ways you can feel. extraordinary cuisine and wine culture completed the picture. Already planning a return trip focused entirely on eating my way through a different region.
