My 10 days exploring Marseille and beyond — completely worth it

I spent 10 days in France and based myself mainly in Marseille. The city itself exceeded expectations — the Sacré-Cœur was genuinely jaw-dropping and I ended up visiting twice. Food was a highlight throughout; I must have eaten foie gras every other day and have no regrets about it whatsoever.

What I didn't expect was wine regions. That element really elevated the trip from good to exceptional. The locals I encountered were warm and patient with my attempts at the language. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to just book it.
