Solo trip to France: everything you need to know

Did 5 days solo in France and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Marseille is decent and getting to Eiffel Tower independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

world-class cuisine was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: expensive restaurants in tourist areas. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
