Honest review after 9 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited France for 9 days. The positives are real: Louvre Museum is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Marseille is genuinely excellent — try croissants if you haven't. wine regions was an unexpected bonus.

That said, expensive restaurants in tourist areas. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend France to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
