Weekend in Aswan, Egypt — more than I expected from a short trip

Only had a long weekend — about 12 days — in Egypt, based in Aswan. More than enough to fall for the place. Did Abu Simbel on day one and spent the rest of the time just walking and eating. The Egyptian mint tea situation here is no joke — some of the best eating I've done anywhere.

warm winter weather gave the trip a texture I didn't anticipate from such a short visit. I came back with a long list of reasons to return properly for two weeks.
