Honeymoon in Colombia — Medellín and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Colombia for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Medellín at night, the drama of Plaza Botero Medellín, the intimacy of small restaurants serving sancocho — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

Cartagena is one of the Americas' most beautiful cities became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 17 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Colombia didn't.
