Honest review after 10 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Colombia for 10 days. The positives are real: Cartagena Walled City is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Bogotá is genuinely excellent — try bandeja paisa if you haven't. spectacular transformation of Medellín was an unexpected bonus.

That said, altitude in Bogotá. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Colombia to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
