Solo trip to Canada: everything you need to know

Did 20 days solo in Canada and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Vancouver is decent and getting to Banff National Park independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

stunning national parks was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: winter can be brutal. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
