Honeymoon in Cambodia — Phnom Penh and the countryside delivered everything

We chose Cambodia for our honeymoon and it was perfect for us. The romantic atmosphere in Phnom Penh at night, the drama of Angkor Wat, the intimacy of small restaurants serving lok lak — all of it added up to exactly what we were hoping for.

strong survival spirit of the Khmer people became an unexpected gift — something we stumbled across that felt made for the occasion. We had 11 days and used every one of them well. Some destinations disappoint when the pressure of a special occasion is on them. Cambodia didn't.
