Honest review after 6 days — mostly great, a few gripes

Visited Brazil for 6 days. The positives are real: Copacabana Beach is every bit as impressive as advertised, and the food scene around Salvador is genuinely excellent — try açaí bowl if you haven't. extraordinary natural diversity was an unexpected bonus.

That said, petty crime in cities requires vigilance. It's not a dealbreaker but worth knowing before you go. I'd still recommend Brazil to most travellers — just manage your expectations on those specific points and you'll have a great time.
