Solo trip to Belgium: everything you need to know

Did 17 days solo in Belgium and found it extremely manageable as a solo traveller. The transport network around Brussels is decent and getting to Atomium independently was straightforward. Met fellow travellers easily and locals were generally happy to chat.

underrated foodie destination was a personal highlight — something I'd only found in independent travel research. One note: Brussels can feel bureaucratic. Nothing serious but worth knowing. The solo experience here was genuinely rewarding and I came home having learned a lot about a place I knew very little about.
