Long-lived — arrange for their future

Sulcatas live 70–100 years. I am 52 and my sulcata may well outlive me. I have arranged for her continued care in my estate planning and identified a tortoise sanctuary that will take her if needed. This is not optional — responsible sulcata ownership requires thinking about what happens to your tortoise in 30 years. It's a sobering but necessary part of committing to one of these extraordinary animals.
